News releases on the Internet have given Yao Defen's height as 7'6" and 7'8.5".
She can be considered to be the tallest living woman. The Guinness book of records says that Sandy Allen is the tallest living woman at 7'7 1/4", but because of her back problems her standing height is significantly less than that.
