FitMatrix Physique Competition - August 25, 2002 - Vancouver, BC A warm summer day, gorgeous Canadian fitness hotties, and Mike's Hard Lemonade...that's definitely summertime at its finest. Maverick's of Vancouver played host to the first-ever FitMatrix Physique Competition, which featured 16 of British Columbia's most beautiful fitness women.
There were three rounds of competition - a bikini round, a fitness round, and an evening wear round. While many of the spectators were really into the bikinis, the best stuff came from the fitness segment in which each woman did a unique "routine" tailored to her own personality.
Cat Smiley (www.catsmiley.com) beat up an inflatable doll, WWF-style, while Jaime Koeppe came out wielding numbchucks and daring the brave, somewhat inebriated men in the crowd to come up and take her on. Jaime is fine as hell, no doubt about it, but add some martial arts skills to the mix and her sexiness is completely off-the-charts. Other memorable routines included Stephanie at the Ballpark, Lee T going down - TOUCHdown, that is, and Samantha Holms as the bellydancing Irishwoman.
This was the most entertaining fitness show I've ever seen and the outdoor venue - along with all the beer and Mike's Hard you could drink - only enhanced the experience for all who attended or competed.
Congratulations to KerryAnn on the successful promotion of her first show, from a donation in excess of $500 is being made to Vancouver Children's Hospital.
First prize was a $1000 CDN and trip for 2 to Las Vegas, second prize was $500 CDN and third prize was $100 CDN.
