Wow, it's been hot this month! Another summer. But it can't last. 29 degrees at the start of the month, back to normal at the end.

I had a server problem for a couple of days, it looks OK now.
The main Valkyrie server needed a reboot, it seems to be OK now.

I checked the site statistics that Sandra counts up each night.
At the end of October 2011, there were about 1,345,000 pictures (256 gigabytes), 420 gigabytes of video, 13820 text files (mostly stories) and a total of about 678 gigabytes. There's about 500 million pictures altogether in Newsthumbs, increasing at about 5 million per month.
